Born in 1979 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from the very start of his career, he started winning amateur comedy competitions at clubs throughout New England, but his real break came in 2001 when Judd Apatow cast him in a recurring role on the TV series Undeclared. Although the series only lasted one season, Hart’s stick-to-it landed him other roles in films such as “Paper Soldiers” (2002), “Scary Movie 3” (2003), “Soul Plane” (2004), “In the Mix” (2005), and” Little Fockers” (2010). Now, for a lot of actors, this would be a nice career trajectory but for Hart’s ambition, those cinematic accomplishments were just the tip of a very large iceberg.

Hart’s persistence paid off and his status started to rise with the release of his first stand-up album I’m a Grown Little Man (2008), which followed with performances in films “Think Like a Man” (2012), “Grudge Match” (2013), “Ride Along” (2014), and its sequel “Ride Along 2” (2016), “About Last Night” (2014), “Get Hard” (2015), “Central Intelligence” (2016), “The Secret Life of Pets” (2016), “Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie” (2017), “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” (2017), Night School” (2018), “Jumanji: The Next Level” (2019), and “Fatherhood” (2021).

Hart’s other comedy albums include, Seriously Funny (20100, Laugh at My Pain (2011), Let Me Explain (2013), and What Now? (2016). In 2015, Time Magazine named Hart one of the 100 most influential people in the world on the annual Time 100 list.

There is no question that Kevin Hart is one of the smartest men in Hollywood, and his newest project  —  KEVIN HART’S MUSCLE CAR CREW —  which is an automotive-themed show that will follow Hart and The Plastic Cup Boyz (John Clausell, Ron “Boss” Everline, Will “Spank” Horton, Harry Ratchford and Joey Wells) appearing on the  MotorTrend App, is just another example of his ability to create, stay on brand and adapt to new technology.

KEVIN HART’S MUSCLE CAR CREW follows him and the Plastic Cup Boyz as they learn to navigate the challenges of owning classic vehicles, and along the way, they gain knowledge from the best car builders and passionate enthusiasts as they go deeper into the car culture by attending car shows/events like the annual Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. Their goal is to upgrade and restore their cars to make them the best they can be and to create their very own car club.

The season premiere “Choose Your Builder, Wisely” finds the guys wanting to make their passion for cars legit. After a dismal showing at a local car show, they search for an appropriate builder. Lucky Costa of MotorTrend’s HOT ROD GARAGE wins the job after they interview other mechanics in town, and the decision is made to spend $20,000 each on upgrading their vehicles. Whoever does the best work will get to be the club’s president.

John Clausell  is working with a 1968 Chevy Camaro SS 427.  Harry Ratchford is working with a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS. Ron “Boss” Everline is working with a 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible.  Joey Wells  is working with a 1956 Volkswagen Bettle.
